On the IT Sofah...

"O dear ! Had been waiting for this day for so long . Finally joined an IT company . Now i have one more tension .. Yar Rishi I am not allocated to any project yet .. I am on BENCH"... When one of my friends said this a few days back i realized BENCH is one the scariest words in I industry... first all the companies would say that they have a lot of work and there is always a cos cutting issue too .. i don understand one thing how come they can afford an employee whom these companies pay for being on Bench,.... Anyways now comes a really funny issue,,, when you say that u r on bench you might feel bad or may think that it is somehow make you subject of other's jokes or pitty or self pitty.. so we devised a new term .. Being on sofa... Sofa seems to be a lot more interesting and less offencive than the term BEnch... isnt it? Obviously it doesnot change any ground reality but i m sure its a good effort to make your situation a l'il funny ...

SO being on sofa ? Is it really bad....

Keep looking for more on SOFAH,... :)

Relevance Of Gandhian Philosophy in Corporate World ...

Gandhian philosophy.. who doesnt wanna talk about it... actually No one wants to talk bout it... I was travelling eith DTC to Anand Vihar ( Delhi ) when one of my friends quoted this topic because he had to present it infront a panel today... Even though I am not very interested in Gandhian philosophy but being an INdian and a professional in IT industry mad eme think what exactly is the relevance.. Public Disobedience in Corporate??? When you are talking bout Indian scenario I dont think there is any scope for that what so ever. I mean guys here are dumb, selfich and competitive and worst of all they dont wanna take risk and keep doing the job they have been doing for so long for a little money that firm can give on its own terms.

Now one good thing about it might be the implementation of Harijan concept in a far better way when in industry. Every one actually gets a fair chance to grow and peroform and get the benefits... really? Suddenly this thought struck my mind whether the candidates in government colleges who got in through reservation seats get the fair chance? I dont know and wont comment on that either..

Other things truth and discipline are fairly accomodated in Industry beacuse if you are not disciplined then you'll be kicked out of industry sooner than you expect.
and aboviously there is no big scope for a lie...

So over all our corporates are somehow following Gandhian philosophy better than our politicians and bureaucrats do...

Didi it make you think???
If yes do let me know...
:)
